Would It be stupid to as my counselor if..?

If i can still be on the honor roll with a 2.98 gpa? in my school you have to have 3.0-3.3 to be on honors and Im upset that i have a 2.98 and was wondering if it is possible they could put me on honors, like round it up to two sig figs or is it not worth asking because its unacceptable since it is not a 3.0?
