What are acceptable piercings while in the Marine Corps DEP? Need help!?

I enlisted in the marines and understand that no tattoos are allowed at all until after boot camp, and no sleeves or anything like that either. I haven't been able to find or hear anything about piercing policy though. I leave for boot camp in 3 months and want to pierce and gauge my ears (not very big, maybe a 4 or 2). They should be able to heal enough to be acceptable if I take them out before basic. I haven't had a chance to contact my recruiter yet and was wondering if you have any links or information that I can't seem to find.
