What is the best way to keep stray cats out of the yard?

I'm looking for a fast, non-toxic and inexpensive solution, preferably from someone who has had success with preventing them from entering into their yard. I have a fenced yard, and having two large dogs does not deter the cats from coming in. Tragically, the dogs have killed 3 cats already that came into the yard.
