What have you done for the people of Haiti?

I have taken donation calls and I have to say that the selfishness of some of our American people is really heartbreaking. Not in the amount that they give because giving anything is a blessing in itself, but during the telethon, people were more interested in speaking to celebrities in the studio as a reward for their giving...WTF?!! I guess I shouldn't get on my high horse and judge though bc we all have our flaws. It just saddens me how indifference for Haiti has existed for so long and only now are we motivated to help when they have needed help for decades. The people of Haiti were dying in the thousands before the earth shook........smh. Most people that I have spoken with have done it to give themselves (again self gratification) a good feeling inside. Only one person I spoke with said to me, I do not want to provide my name. It is better that I do this anonymously because I am not in this for myself...that moved me. But anyways, beyond Haiti, what have you done for people in need?
