just a tip on the taxies only use the green and yellow taxies as these are goverment taxies and are metered most fares in the city are no more than 100 baht although in heavy traffic times ,can be more always make sure the metre is used. tuk tuks can be fun to travel in and you can negotiate one usually for about 200 hundred to 300 baht for a journey but sometimes they can be tiresome as they try to get you to go to gem stores or tailors where they get commision if you buy anything from the stores always negotiate a price with tuk tuk drivers first, the bts or sky train is fast and fairly cheap to travel on
