How to get rid of my shyness???

i just got proposed by a gudlooking boy who is in the same cl of mine but diffrnt section.the problem is that i really feel shy when he wants to talk with me.my frnds push me to talk with him but i sit in my place in the cl.he is a very gud boy,he even told me that he is not interested in my past as long as he loves me.i know him very well,he is a very beautyful human but y do i get shy while talking with him.today he gave me an ice cream but i only smiled.i'm a very shy person but he still loves me.plz hlp.....i'm also in love with him but y this is happning to me???
