How to fashion a homemade cookie cutter for a Christmas cookie shape?

You can print a shape of what it is you want of the computer and trace around the edges with a knife on the dough. I did that for hand-shaped gingerbread turkeys I made at thanksgiving. It takes a little longer but you can get whatever you want. Also you can just use a sharp knife and cut the shape you want.
